Renaissance has partnered up with Bo Beuckman Ford to be a part of the Drive One 4 Ur School test-driving program that can raise money for Lafayette.

In order to participate in the event, you must be 18 years of age, and only one member per household can complete a test drive.

Community Service teacher Matt Landwehr believes this is a great opportunity for students to get involved in raising money for our school.

“Basically, it’s just a fundraiser for Renaissance.  We’re going to have a car wash along with it to raise money for the American Cancer Society,” Landwehr said.

For each valid test-drive, Ford will donate $20, and each school can raise up to $6,000.

The April 14 fundraiser will take place from  9a.m.-4 p.m. in the Lafayette parking lot.

Landwehr added, “It’s about a 15-20 minute commitment and you can take about a 6-7 minute test drive around the school.”

Bo Beuckman is going to bring about 10 brand new cars to test drive.  After completing a drive around the school, you must fill out a survey about basic information and thoughts about the new car.
