How to survive Van’s Warped Tour 2011

With summer quickly approaching, one event crosses many people’s minds: Van’s Warped Tour 2011. Although Warped Tour isn’t till Aug. 3 it’s good to plan ahead and be prepared.
One thing I asked myself when I went to my first Warped Tour was, “How am I going to make it through 11 hours in one giant concert?” Here’s my personal advice on how to survive a day of chaos and exhilaration.
One: Prioritize. Make sure you look at the giant blow-up list at the front of the venue so you know which bands are playing when, and on what stages. You won’t want to go all the way back to the front of the park to look up one band.
Two: See only your favorites. The day flies by, and you won’t want to waste any time on small bands. Do so only if you have some extra time.
Three: Walk around! Many times around the merchendise tents, members of various bands will be walking around signing autographs and taking pictures. And you can always buy some band shirts.
Four: Stay hydrated. Make sure you constantly drink water so you won’t pass out after the second show. You will feel terrible if you don’t drink anything.
Five: Sleep the next day. Don’t try to do anything the next day. You will feel like you got hit by a bus, but it’s all worth it in the end.
Some bands that I myself am looking foreward to are 3OH!3, A Day to Remember, A Skylit Drive, Attack Attack!, Every Avenue, Family Force 5 and Madina Lake.
Warped Tour will be held Wednesda,y Aug. 3 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheather.
