Over the weekend, Creve Coeur Park hosted a National Rugby Tournament called Ruggerfest.

Even though Lafayette does not have a rugby club, some LHS students have migrated over to the Eureka team to get a taste of the action.

Students participating included senior Ryan Finnegan and sophomore Nick Cooper.

This tournament held all different types of rugby leagues from men’s college clubs to women’s high school.

In the first round Eureka defeated the returning champs St. Charles by a score of 27-7 but ended up losing later in the tournament and placing seventh.
