For anyone who has successfully painted their nails, they know it takes great concentration. To keep the polish on the nails instead of skin and chipping nails before they dry are common mistakes. Follow these helpful tips and you will get the perfect manicure or pedicure every time.

1. Remove any polish already on your nails.

2. Apply a clear base coat. It “preps” the nail to make it stickier so the polish will stay better.

3. Roll the color polish bottle between hands to mix the color.

4. Keep your hand steady and apply the color coat twice.

5. If you were unable to keep your hand steady and excess polish ended up your skin, use an orangewood stick. Take the stick and trace around the nail to remove the color spillage.

4. When the color is properly contained on the nail, apply the clear top coat. This holds the polish and of course makes them look shinier.

5. Sit tight for about 15 minutes while your nails dry. DON’T TOUCH ANYTHING.
