Junior Anna Ruyle is currently reading Jude by Kate Morgenroth which she describes as a suspenseful and thrilling novel.
Jude is the story of a young boy who goes through 15 years of life believing that his mother had abandoned him at birth. When his drug-dealing father is murdered, he is told that he was actually kidnapped and is reunited with his mother.
While Jude goes through a whirlwind of changes, readers too will have to keep guessing until the very end.
“Endings can usually be predicable but I couldn’t figure this one out at all”, said Ruyle, who is an avid reader.
Ruyle recommends this book as she’s read it more than three times and still remains as one of her favorite books. In fact, Ruyle also says that this book needs to be read twice, “to catch up on all the details”.
And for those who have seen the movie Shutter Island which came out in Feb. staring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ruyle said that Jude is similar to the movie in terms of the suspense, plot, and unpredictable ending.
