What a powerful article! You gave a voice to thousands of students who have participated in Rockwood’s gifted program but do not have this forum to express their thoughts. You make me proud to be a part of Rockwood School District.

I agree with the comment about starving your children academically. I greatly benefit from the gifted program because it is set up to personalize the program for each student. It does not create elitism, because I actually felt alienated, until I was in the gifted program with others like me. Student should not all be treated the same because we are not all the same and never will be.

I was bored so I read the article. I realize it is supposed to be funny but I found it offensive. If a guy is stupid enough to fall for that, he is not the guy to go with. Also, better to go single than to go with some moron who is falling head over heels in ‘love’ with you while all you focus on is how he looks with you.

That’s a good question. Monday is Shark Day (Dress like a shark). Tuesday is Nerd Day (Dress like a nerd). Wednesday is Pink Day (Dress in all pink). Thursday is Scuba Day (Dress like a scuba diver). Friday is Spirit Day, so dress in all your favorite Lafayette spiritwear. This will all be posted in Breaking News each day as well.
